Control your social media presence

As a small staff association, it's likely that you don't have a lot of time on your hands. You're constantly trying to do more with less, and it can be difficult to keep up with technology and what everyone in the industry says you "have" to be doing.

One thing that's really helpful, and doesn't necessarily have to take up a lot of your time?

A blog.

You don't necessarily have to blog every day. You don't need to write 500 words in each post. You don't even have to write a whole lot. Use a blog to share photos, videos and tidbits about your association's events and what you have to offer. Let your members write guest posts. Let the community contribute. Share lists and bullet points about what your association is doing.

Plus! A blog will give you sole control over the look and feel, unlike Twitter, Facebook and other platforms.
