It’s summer, so we still need to keep those bathing suit bodies, but ASAE is not known for being a low calorie event. Heck, we’ll feed you and… ahem… “hydrate” you so well at the Small Staff Shindig that you’ll need another 15 minutes in the gym. So here are some ways to stay active when you visit Atlanta for ASAE!
More things besides business are done on the golf course. Take in beautiful Stone Mountain Park and play a round of golf or tennis with the finest association executives. If you’re not quite prepared to hit the links, there’s also a golf clinic with a PGA or LPGA pro! Bloody Mary Breakfast included.
If golf and tennis aren’t your thing, there’s always running! Light packing, high calorie burn, serious camaraderie. Not to mention free T-shirt and charity benefit. You get to run through our beautiful Piedmont Park, an oasis in our metropolis. Don’t forget to hydrate!
Speaking of charity benefit, one good way to break a sweat is to just enjoy the Georgia sunshine! And what better way to get out in the sun than to help out some National Historic Sites? This year’s community connection is sprucing up the King Center and surrounding historical site and the beautiful Atlanta BeltLine Trail! Wear comfy shoes, and don’t be afraid to get dirty and sweat!
For the Atlanta tours you’ll be on Segways or buses, but you’ll also be walking around our beautiful city. See famous Atlanta landmarks like the Botanical Gardens, the Atlanta Zoo, and if you’re still not getting in enough cardio, the unparalleled shopping at AmericasMart will change that!
Finally for some truly authentic, indoors ASAE workouts just head over to the trade show floor. With hundreds of booths to visit and a LOT of ground to cover, you can get in a good workout just by shopping for solutions for your association. (Be sure to check us out at booth 424!)
There are a lot of ways to stay active while visiting us here in Atlanta for ASAE 2013. Having said that, don’t underestimate the value of a few days off from the diet and exercise routine! You’re doing more than enough to boost your personal connection and your association life… regardless of how many calories you burn.
