ASAE’s 2016 Annual Meeting & Exposition is right around the corner, and this year, it’s being held in Salt Lake City.
What’s there to do in Salt Lake City, you ask? Well actually, a TON! In fact, here are four must-sees for ASAE attendees:
1. Temple Square
Temple Square is one of Utah’s most famous attractions - and for good reason! Just LOOK at the picture above! Even if you don’t go in, the grounds are still worth a look: they’re beautiful and an integral part of Utah’s history.
2. City Creek Center
Have you ever been to a mall with a creek (complete with fish) running through it? Well now’s your chance! The City Creek Shopping Center is an outdoor mall with tons of great stores/dining options. Even just walking from one end to the other - taking in the mountains and fountains - can be a great way to spend a few hours.
3. Salt Lake City Public Library
As a library lover, I’m personally pumped for this one. And not just for the books, but for the views as well. The Salt Lake City Public Library has several floor-to-ceiling glass walls with amazing views of the Wasatch mountains.
And speaking of those glass walls, during the Opening Ceremony (which will be held in Temple Square), there will be dancers performing ON those five-story glass exteriors. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see that!
4. Park City
If you have a little extra time on your trip, why not check out Park City, which comes highly recommended by locals and seasoned visitors? Park City is a quaint little area with AMAZING views of the mountains. You can even take a chairlift ride to get a better view of the scenery!
