What I Love Most About Associations Is

Love is in the air! Can you feel it?

Maybe you’re a fan of Valentine’s Day...maybe you’re not. (Well, aside from all the delicious candy, that is.) Either way, we decided to indulge in the holiday a little bit and ask Clickers (what we call MemberClicks employees) what they love most about associations.

Here’s what they had to say…

Amelia Greeley, Solution Advisor: “What I love most about associations is the passionate individuals that work in the organization. They’re not only experts in their field, but they’re passionate about moving their industry forward and connecting members together.”

Sebastian Almario, Business Development Representative: “I love the volunteer staff. Taking time out of your day that’s already occupied by a full-time job, family, and friends, and then using those few precious free moments to focus on the association and its members is really inspiring.”

Jay Fitzmaurice, Training Lead: “I love how much they care about their members and their experiences! Everyone I talk to is so passionate about making what they provide the best experience possible - whether that’s just how to navigate their website or the ease of event registration. I’ve never met anyone who thinks, “Meh, that’ll do. Our members will be fine.” They always want to go above and beyond.”

Erynne Daigneault, Onboarding Specialist: “I love the wide range of associations that exist and all the unique ways in which they serve their members and the community - everything from fun groups aimed primarily at networking and shared interests to groups conducting life-saving medical research. It keeps everyday interesting and definitely showcases how valuable and important associations are and how they're such a strong undercurrent in our everyday lives!”

Caroline Brewer, Services Specialist: “Their passion for their cause is the BOMB. Most of the customers I work with have full-time jobs on top of the work they do for their associations. It's inspiring to me that they’re passionate enough to put in long hours outside of their full-time jobs without a lot of recognition, and they make a huge impact in their fields because of it. It makes it easy to do my job every day when I work with people who care the way our customers do!”

Colleen Bottorff, Inbound Marketing Specialist: “I love that associations bring individuals together over a shared interest. It's a safe space to really geek out about something you're passionate about, whether that's a hobby or your profession or community. You might talk about it with friends and family, of course - but your fellow association members will just GET you. And spending time with like-minded people can make all the difference in how you continue to learn and grow!”
