With the new year approaching, we’re all revving up in terms of goals and resolutions - and associations are no different. If you’re like most organizations, you’ve likely collaborated with members and other leaders to create some AMAZING goals for 2016.

We genuinely want to see you hit those goals, so to help you succeed, we’ve put together four tips to help your organization hit the ground running in 2016. Take a look!

1. Get organized

First things first: Be sure to clean out your mind and your workspace. Make sure you have a clean, stable surface - both mentally and physically - that you can easily work from. Clean off any old items that you may have, and if there are any unresolved issues, decide then and there what to do with them. They may be abandoned or tabled for the meantime, or they could go on your 2016 goal list.

Speaking of…

2. Get your to-do list

Get out that list of priorities that you discussed with your board and members and jot down the standing items and leftover tasks from 2015. Try your best to prioritize them by due date and urgency. Then it’s time to…

3. Get ready

What do you need to accomplish these goals? Think about raw materials and things you can obtain fairly easy. If it’s simple software program or something that you can you can obtain quickly, go ahead and get it. Then mark your calendar and rally the troops so you can…

4. Get going!

Pull the trigger! Start crossing those things of your to-do list! If you’ve delegated some of those tasks, follow up with people and make sure things are still in the works (or at least on their radar). As time progresses, be sure to check in with your team members and make sure things are going according to plan.

If you charge into your 2016 goals with confidence and enthusiasm, this new year is likely to be your best one yet!

If your 2016 goals include better organization, more member engagement, and easier communication, it’s time to look into an AMS. What exactly is an AMS and how will it help you achieve these goals? See for yourself in our free guide below!
