ASAE’s Annual Meeting & Exposition is in four short days! Can you believe it?! As you’re finalizing your schedule, be sure to include these 3 CAN’T-MISS events:
1. The Opening Celebration (Saturday, August 12)
You CAN’T miss the Opening Celebration! This is the conference kickoff, and it’s bound to get you pumped. Plus, this year it will be held at the Royal Ontario Museum, which was recently named one of the 15 most beautiful museums in the world by Conde Nast Traveler. (No big deal.)
In all seriousness though, this is the perfect opportunity to start mingling with people (both old friends and new), and kind of get the lay of the land. Plus, it’ll make for a great talking point later on in the show as you continue to network with people. (You can talk about all the cool artifacts/exhibits you saw!)
2. The Small-Staff Shindig (Sunday, August 13)
Calling all small-staff association pros, AMCs, and industry leaders! If you’ve got an opening in your schedule Sunday night, be sure to check out the Small-Staff Shindig (hosted by none other than MemberClicks!). It will be held from 6 - 9 p.m. at Scaddabush, right across the street from the convention center. Come join us for food, drinks, and probably more laughs than anything!
3. The Classic (Monday, August 14)
Now this one you have to have a ticket for, but based on past events/this year’s description, it’ll be worth it!
How does this sound: Dinner and entertainment on the roof of Rebel (a popular nightclub in Toronto), with the iconic downtown skyline in the background? And not only that, but as the sun sets, there will be music from Alan Frew of Glass Tiger and Tim Cochrane, most famous for his hits “Life Is A Highway” and “Lunatic Fringe.” (Oh, and did we mention private cabanas overlooking the waterfront? Yup, this is one party you DON’T want to miss!)
The Classic will be held from 7 - 9:30 p.m. and General Admission tickets are $150. (More details here.)
