Does your association or chamber send out a weekly or monthly newsletter? If so, you know how challenging it can be to come up with fresh and valuable content, time and time again. (We speak from experience.)

But having those newsletters is a great way to not only engage your membership, but provide your members with value on a frequent and consistent basis - so it’s important to keep those communications flowing.

If you market your organization’s events to prospects, in addition to members, good for you! It’s a great way to showcase your organization’s value and give prospects a taste of what membership is like.

But how do you get those prospects to take the next step and join? After all, that’s the main goal here. Read on for a few tips:

Christmas music, gingerbread cookies, holiday lights, warm hot cocoa (with marshmallows!)...it really is the most wonderful time of the year!

As 2018 winds down, we wanted to take this moment to 1) say THANK YOU for the most amazing year! (Seriously, between seeing you at trade shows, getting to celebrate you (and with you) at MC LIVE!, watching you advance your organization and industry, AND seeing how you rock your MemberClicks socks (which we’re here to tell you, you absolutely do!), it’s been a year full of memorable moments.)

Planning on taking a little time off for the holidays? Good for you! You definitely deserve it. Before heading out though, be sure to complete the following four tasks:

Shining a spotlight on your members (in your newsletter, on your website, on social media, etc.) is great for a number of reasons:

1. It makes that member feel special and highly engaged

2. It helps your members get to know other members

3. If that member is highly engaged (on a committee, for example), it can inspire other members to become more engaged

But the key to generating results like that is to put together a fun and engaging member spotlight. It doesn’t have to be long, just...interesting!

Below are a few questions - some fun, some serious - you may want to ask in your next member spotlight. (And tip: to keep your readers engaged, you may want to vary your questions from spotlight to spotlight.)
